Job Title: Senior Tax Accountant
Our client, a dynamic, publicly traded company with a commitment to excellence in all aspects of our business. We are seeking a talented Senior Tax Accountant to join the team in the Naugatuck, CT. area. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a small, collaborative tax department where you will learn from an experienced and hands-on Tax Manager.
Position Overview: As a Senior Tax Accountant, you will play a key role in assisting with tax compliance, tax provision, and audit support. This position is ideal for someone with a few years of experience in the Big 4 or from a public company looking to advance their career in a supportive and engaging environment.
Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation and filing of federal, state, and international tax returns.
• Support the Tax Manager in preparing tax provisions in accordance with ASC 740.
• Conduct tax research and provide analysis on various tax issues.
• Assist with tax audits and respond to inquiries from tax authorities.
• Maintain and organize tax records and documentation.
• Monitor changes in tax legislation and assess their impact on the company.
• Collaborate with internal departments to gather necessary information for tax filings.
• Participate in special tax projects as required.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA certification or progress towards certification is preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of tax experience, preferably with Big 4 or a public company.
• Strong understanding of federal, state, and international tax regulations.
• Familiarity with ASC 740 and its application.
