Senior Architectural Designer Your work environment at EXP In this role, you will be a part of the
Aviation, Transit and Commercial Buildings team, of the
Buildings Sector , based in
Chicago IL, St Louis, MO or Dallas, TX office. What a day at EXP has in store for you - Prepare construction documents in coordination with multi-discipline project team of architects and engineers.
- Coordinate project requirements and development of construction documents with subconsultants.
- Meet with product vendors to review specific products to be incorporated into the projects.
- Perform code reviews and meet independently with local code officials to review and determine specific local code requirements and project compliance.
- Perform bid phase and construction phase tasks including site visits, review of shop drawings, responding to requests for information, and issuing clarifications.
- Lead the development of design alternatives using a variety of media, including computer visualization, and physical models. Work in coordination with and oversight of the Principal Architect
- Lead the development of presentation documents and make design presentations to Clients.
What your experience looks like - Degree in architecture required from an Accredited University. Bachelor's Degree required,
- Must have 5+ years' experience in a similar role.
- Must have demonstrated ability to use computer software for design.
- Must have detailed knowledge of all phases of architectural and engineering practice.
- Must be proficient in the production of contract documents including Technical Specifications.
- Must be proficient in production with Revit and AutoCad
- Experience with Sketchup, Photoshop, 3D Studio, Rhino, V-Ray, and other imaging and rendering software.
