We are seeking the best and brightest college graduates for our Operations Intern. This is a tremendous opportunity to join a world-class team. The Operations Intern is a positive, out-of-box thinker with a can-do attitude. This position will require you to wear many hats and have a willingness to jump in and help out with any task, big or small. We are looking for someone who is well organized, has a strong attention to detail, and is able to follow directions to support the operations department in the following areas: social media management, new business administration, event organization, office administration, human resources, administration, recruitment, & ad hoc tasks as needed. This position is great for someone who is looking to really explore the ins and outs of an award-winning digital agency.
Our internship program lasts approximately 3 months. Interns typically work 4 hours per day, 4 days per week. We are looking for someone local to the NYC metropolitan area who can be in office roughly 2-3 days per week. This is an hourly paid position, and will pay minimum wage in accordance with the NYC wage requirements at the time of hire. Consideration will be made to offer a full-time position at the end of 90 days to those who impress. Full-time employees earn a competitive salary, yearly bonus, and benefits.
This internship will give you the opportunity to gain experience in multiple areas of operations. There is a tremendous opportunity for growth depending on your experience & career aspirations. Our office is located at 26 Broadway. In addition to working with a stellar team, our office has beautiful common areas, weekly yoga/meditation classes, and free snacks and coffee. Please note: our office is following all CDC and state guidelines.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Social Media Management:
Assist in managing Sosemo's internal social media accounts, including content creation, scheduling, and engagement.
Collaborate with the operations team to ensure consistent messaging and branding across all platforms.
Monitor social media trends and provide insights for optimization.
New Business Administration:
Support the operations team in coordinating and preparing materials for new business pitches and presentations.
Assist in research tasks related to potential clients and market trends.
Help maintain the client database and CRM system (Salesforce).
Event Organization:
Aid in the planning and execution of company events, including team meetings, workshops, and client gatherings.
Coordinate logistics such as venue selection, catering, and guest invitations.
Provide on-site support during events as needed.
Recruitment Organization:
Assist with various aspects of the recruitment process, including job postings, scheduling interviews, and communicating with candidates.
Help maintain recruitment records and databases.
Support operations in onboarding processes for new hires.
General Administrative Support:
Perform various administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and document management.
Assist with scheduling meetings, booking travel arrangements, and managing calendars.
Handle incoming inquiries and correspondence with professionalism and efficiency.
Assist the CEO with ad hoc tasks as needed.
Assist the Director of Operations with ad hoc HR tasks as needed.
Ensure office space is kept clean and organized.
Office tasks include: light cleaning, ordering supplies, keeping food and beverages stocked.
4-year college degree from an accredited university.
3.0 GPA or above from an accredited university.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in work.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Professional demeanor with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
Experience in Salesforce, Confluence, Jira, Freshbooks, G-suite, and Meta platforms is a plus.
Prior experience in social media management, event planning, or administrative support is a plus.
