The Chemist Intern/Co-Op will work under the direction of the Laboratory Manager to develop technical laboratory skills and integrate classroom studies with practical work experience. In the initial co-op term, students will complete assigned special projects in various laboratory areas. During the second and third terms, students will be assigned more challenging projects and may be responsible for monitoring specific laboratory areas. All students are required to provide a presentation on their assigned projects at end of each term. The Co-Op program is designed to alternate co-op terms and school semesters, providing selected students an opportunity to return for multiple terms as they progress through their academic program.
Job Duties:
Positions available for 2024 - Summer, and Fall. Flexible co-op terms are available; however, alternating co-op semesters are not guaranteed and are conditional upon individual performance and position availability within the hiring department.

TWIC Eligibility Requirements: The Maritime Transportation Security Act requires all persons who will need unescorted access to a regulated facility to have a valid Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC), issued in accordance with the rules established by the United States Coast Guard and the Transportation Security Administration. Candidates selected for employment must meet eligibility criteria to obtain a TWIC card.
