Skyline Gila River is seeking a Varsity Assistant 8-Man Tackle Football Coach. The position is responsible for coaching student athletes' grades 9th-12th in game strategies and techniques to prepare them for athletic competition. Position motivates student athletes to develop an appreciation of the sport. Requirements/Experience:

• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card (FPCC)
• Collegiate football playing experience Preferred
• Two plus years of high school or college coaching experience preferred
• Ability to coach multiple positions within the football program
• Strong knowledge of 8-Man Tackle Football rules and regulations
• NFHS Level I Certification (Includes Concussion in Sports, Fundamentals of Coaching, Sudden Cardiac Arrest and Protecting Students from Abuse
• First Aid, Health and Safety Certificate/CPR
• Stipend position
• Must be available Monday-Friday afternoon/ evenings thru the months of July-November

Duties and Responsibilities:

• · Ability to work effectively with a wide range of students, staff, and fellow coaches
• · Provide a positive learning environment for the athletes
• · Ability to adhere to administrative policies and directives of the program
• · Assists in the development and oversight of the football team, players, and works to collaboratively prepare team for competitive activities
• · Develop position specific practice plans including drills to develop player skill, technique, and understanding
• · Assist players and coaches in the establishing appropriate competitive and developmental goals and objectives
• · Support coaching staff with practice sessions, including outside-season camps & clinics
• · Communicate effectively with Head Coach, staff, students and parents
• · Participates in special activities to include parent’s night, banquets, and award nights
• · Potentially drive athletes using school transportation to and from off campus games on 12 passenger van
