Job Title: Early Childhood Assistant Teacher

Location: 1214 New Loudon Road, Cohoes, NY 12047

Position Type: Full-time or Part-time

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Early Childhood Assistant Teacher to join our newest location, Tiny Town of Latham! The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing support to the lead teacher, assisting in creating and implementing engaging and developmentally appropriate activities for young children, and fostering a nurturing and stimulating learning environment.

Early Childhood Assistant Teacher Responsibilities:

• Assist the lead teacher in planning and implementing age-appropriate curriculum and activities for children.
• Support children's social, emotional, and cognitive development through positive interactions and guidance.
• Assist with daily routines, such as meal times, nap times, and toileting.
• Help maintain a clean and organized classroom environment.
• Build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
• Assist with observing and documenting children's progress and behavior.
• Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and knowledge.

Early Childhood Assistant Teacher Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED or one year of experience working with children less than 13 years of ages 
• Knowledge of child development and early childhood education principles and practices.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with a team and take direction from lead teachers.
