Community Engagement and Government Affairs Specialist

Summary
As a Community Engagement and Government Affairs Specialist at Entravision Communications Corporation, you will play a crucial role in fostering relationships with our communities and supporting our efforts campaign engagement and government affairs. Reporting directly to the EVP of Government and Public Affairs, you will be instrumental in ensuring our organization remains actively involved and responsive to the needs of the communities we serve.

Essential Functions

1. Assist in Government Affairs : Assist EVP of Government and Public affairs in monitoring and engaging with government officials.
2. Political Campaign Research : Stay abreast of ongoing political campaigns and initiatives at the local, state, and national levels. Analyze campaign strategies, messaging, and voter demographics to guide our engagement efforts effectively.
3. Community Engagement: Develop and implement community engagement strategies to foster positive relationships with diverse communities. Organize events, town halls, and outreach programs to solicit feedback, address concerns, and promote dialogue.
4. General Support for EVP: Provide administrative and logistical support to the EVP of Government and Public Affairs. Assist in scheduling meetings, preparing presentations, and managing correspondence to ensure efficient operations.

 

 

Required Education and Experience
●Bachelor's degree in Political Science, Public Policy, Communications, or a related field.
●Proven experience in political research, community engagement, or public affairs.
●Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex political issues and data.
●Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
●Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
●Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and research tools.
●Knowledge of Spanish language and Hispanic community dynamics is a plus.
